If you’re looking to change your mindset, one of the best habits you can develop is to start listening to audiobooks. For me, audiobooks don’t replace my daily reading time, but instead supplement it.
I find that there’s usually at least an hour a day when I am doing something that doesn’t require a lot of focus, but can’t be used for any other purpose, and that’s when I put on an audiobook. Some examples include when I’m driving, walking the dog, cooking or cleaning up around the house.
Once I started making use of this downtime, I realized I could start to gain tremendous insight into a variety of topics, and tackle books that I wouldn’t otherwise have dedicated my time to read.
