Napoleon Hill wrote the book The Laws of Success in the 1920s at the suggestion of Andrew Carnegie and was the fruit of more than twenty years of work in which the author analyzed the working life of more than a hundred men and women who had attained a Unusual success in their respective professions. In 1908 Napoleon Hill had the great opportunity of his life: to interview the then richest man of the world, the industrialist Andrew. That interview marked his whole life. Andrew Carnegie revealed to the young Napoleon that it was possible to identify in successful people the characteristics that led to personal success. But the most exciting thing was to discover that success could be reproduced.
He invited him to discover a kind of “Formula of Success”. Thus Napoleon Hill interviewed all the successful men of his day In it he speaks of the sixteen laws of success and from the beginning he warns us that success in this world is always a matter of individual effort, but requires the cooperation of other people. Individual effort to decide what we want, but once decided, to achieve success will depend on our ability to convince others to collaborate. On that, Hill talks about the Mstermind that is created by bringing together two or more minds working together in perfect harmony for the achievement of a definite goal. So also, his work is about certain steps to achieve wealth: Step 1. Have a strong and vehement desire. Step 2. Have faith. Visualize and create – through repetition – that you will get your wish. Step 3. Influence your subconscious through autosuggestion: Repeat your desire with conviction. The most important thing for Hill, was to believe in oneself, to have faith that things can be achieved and never lose sight of the goal. Self-confidence is the basis of determination. Mention also the imagination, which is the ability to see things that do not yet exist, only with imagination can we create in our mind scenarios that we want to reach and then materialize them. Some other characteristics of successful people, according to Napoleon Hill, are enthusiasm, self control, tolerance, concentration, cooperation, initiative and leadership, beyond others.
