Audio Book Summary
The book The Secret, by Rhonda Byrne that had a great success, especially in the year 2006, in which the documentary of the same name was popularized, part of the notion that each person has the capacity to attract what it wishes with just thinking about it, positive thoughts attract positive experiences and vice versa, negative thoughts attract negative experiences; Similarity attracts the like.
The author, at the beginning of the work, states that it is an ancient secret that was used by people such as Plato, Shakespeare, Newton, Victor Hugo, Beethoven, Lincoln, Emerson, Edison and Einstein who realized the power to Get whatever they wanted. The definition of “The Secret” is that feelings and thoughts can bring events into our lives because the universe provides it; who does not get what they want is because is not attracting enough.
Then, as discussed above, the law of attraction has existed and governed human behavior forever and is based on the simple fact of attracting, this law says that like attracts like.According to characters like Bob Proctor, MikeDooley, and John Assaraf among others, the secret gives us everything we want, such as happiness, health, wealth; all if we see ourselves as a magnet that draws things to itself.
The Law of Attraction refers essentially-as I have already explained-in that we attract into our lives what we want, what we think, so that each creates his own reality, not destiny, or other people, but ourselves through Our thoughts, which are revealed by means of the emotions. Our thoughts are capable of filling our existence with bitterness or happiness.
It is not necessary to understand how the Law of Attraction performs its “magic”, because it goes beyond the human understanding, to explain how simply by the constancy of a thought, it comes to materialize in us. Our thoughts emit frequencies to the Universe that will later be transformed into facts.
In other words, the Law of Attraction is an attitude in life, a decision, the way in which everyone chooses to live.
I was especially impressed with the three steps to the creative process mentioned in the book.
Step 01: “ask for what you want”. Sometimes we are not expressive, neither reflective nor even concise about what we want in our lives. We simply do not have it clear and it is convenient to reach that mental clarity to be able to materialize those longings and goals.
Step 02: “the response of the universe”. For some it will be the answer of fate, of life itself, the reward of our actions. For others, it will be God’s hand acting according to beliefs.
Step 03: “receive and thank”. What a joy it is to receive what we have asked and desired and above all there is nobility and wisdom to thank for it.
I highly reccommend listening to this book.
